a short vid of harvesting garlic. Garlic is planted in the fall and harvested in July. It overwinters well and leaves space for a planting of salad greens, beets, or legumes before overwintering.

  • this vid is great! omg i wish it was longer do you have anymore footage you might post? maybe the next harvest you could get more:)

  • Thanks for the comment. There really isn't any more to it than that, though. The only thing easier to grow is horseradish, which once planted never dies!

  • I'd let that garlic die back more before harvesting. You can so it after a few leaves die back, but why not just harvest one for use, and wait a little longer for bigger bulbs?

  • Nice.

I just planted a few clefts of garlic in a little bowl I keep in front of my window. Hope the grass will show up soon ^^

Next fall I'll plant clefts outside and hope for a garlic harvest in July. Got any tips?
