Part II of the mini documentary on the making of the 1994 blues album From the Cradle. Mr Clapton would subsequently record Riding with the King (with B. B. King) and a tribute to Robert Johnson: Me and Mr. Johnson.

In this documentary Mr Clapton talks in his typically frank and modest way about the road which lead him to record this album and what music means to him.

  • Eric Clapton is not racist, he's just not from america where they have to be politically correct about everything and whine and cry because OHH!!! HE SAID BLACK MAN!!!!

  • Clapton was born to play the blues.....simply mind blowing!

  • somebody can tell me which guitars he plays in every track? (in particular his gibson es-335) ta

  • @kermicheo

Well, there was that incident in the 70's where he repeatedly and drunkedly told all the wogs to stay out of England, and that England is a white country.... that was pretty racist. But I am in agreement with you, Clapton is not a racist, he's just either drunk (not anymore) or makes a poor selection of words. I mean he dated Naomi Campbell for god's sake!

  • This is one of the greatest blues albums, ever.

  • you guys are all dumbasses. "racist." he commented on blacks. it is stereotyped a little but not racist. WTF.

  • There was a TV special I saw long ago that showed From the Cradle being practiced and recorded at a different place than this video shows. It was shot in a theater somewhere and it was just fantastic. I can't believe that it is not available on CD somewhere.

  • I don't see any of this racism you are talking about. basically he is saying that he has a right to sing the blues because of his son dying but he does not think he sings the blues as well as Muddy Waters.

  • Great Album, Thank you Eric :)

  • haha i like that
