Shawn, what club are you using for this short chip shot? Also, do you use different clubs for chipping based upon how far you want the ball to roll? I love your videos and study them before I head out to practice at my club. I have identified chipping as my weakest area and I am on a mission to be a great chipper!! Thanks for your great videos!

Shawn, When you nudge the weight forward in your chipshot setup do you feel weight going to the outside of the left foot? Perhaps that would be an over exageration on my interpretation. Do you feel your head is behind, over or in front of the ball if played in the center of your stance? When I nudge the weight forward slight rev." K" I get less consistant contact. Should I be thinking level hips? Thank You

Hi Shawn, Would I be correct when I say that in small or very small chip shots we do not need to get our body out of the way...."out of the way"....."out of the way" as in golf pro lesson "coordinating body turn with arm swing". I feel that when I try to get the body out of the way, the momentum is much more than required for short chip shots. What will be the feeling in that case. In longer chip shots is extension/compression(piston action) of legs to be avoided.I hit fat if I use that.

I had a chip on hole 18 in a competition, then I was scared to hit it to long, but when I did take the chip it was to short...is the secret to never hit it to short or something like that? Think it is stay calm;)

This video was more on technique, the key once you have it is to use momentum to execute; have a look at the "Chip Yips" and "Ball Bearings and sockets" videos to round out the equation; Shawn
