Crystal Maze Revival Part 3/6

Crystal Maze Revival was an experiment in non-scripted event-based multi-camera filmmaking, designed to test a concept by which the TV Studio is made redundant. Following on from my Max-16 series of retro computer game events, I decided to further my exploration into nostalgia and childhood memories, by creating an event which allowed me to experience these memories again. I used to love watching the Crystal Maze, and Richard O'Brian as a child; but now, rather than just watch the old shows online, I can be in my own version of the show. Well, kind of. the idea is that it is an experiment, done for fun, on absolutely no budget. Apart from planning the games themselves, the entire event was unplanned, and unscripted. The event was filmed by the contestants themselves - using 3 DV camera s- the only rule being that the cameras must not be turned off, they must be kept rolling to facilitate post-editing in FCP using the multi-camera feature,

This event is not bringing back the Crystal Maze, nor do I claim to any ownership of the idea whatsoever. Rather, it is intended to be a tribute to, or parody of the show, recreating it as an experience playing on nostalgia. It was done as an experiment in film-making, and no money was made from it. It was also strictly a one-off - I have no Crystal Maze events planned, although would consider it if enough people requested it!
