Both singers are good in their own ways, Sarah's voice fits the original, but Tarja's is better for the "metal-fied" version :P

you are right, there she was able to hit the note. but today she is not capable anymore. you can't deny that. tarja is not able to hit it neither,true. but still in my opinion tarjas voice us much more powerful than sarahs. ENOUGH :D i don't like sarah brightman and you love her. we both won't change our opinions, su its useless to discuss any longer ;)

The musical was written with Brightman's voice, timbre, and RANGE specifically in mind, so to say that she could never hit the note during a live performance is really quite funny.

From all accounts, Tarja is more arrogant than Brightman could dream of being, which is one of the reasons they kicked her out of the band. And thank you, AndraBobo. As much as I hated Repo! and thought that most of the music was trash, Blind Mag was fantastic.

But it's the same in the studio version. And although Tarja sang in a metal band she is NOT a metal singer.
