I came here because of the kite runner. I still don't get how you cut someone's kite or how to control your kite when its so high up in the air. And why does Amir's hands get cut whenever he cuts someone's kite?

So this journalist risked being kidnapped and beheaded to report on kite flying.

@eksman187 I am a European, but I have also lived in KABUL for a while, i prefer kite running, than sitting at home in-front of a computer, or watching a movie.
Kite Running is fun, its social, its not something you do alone, you do it with family, neighbors, everything that is non existent in the west.
The majority of those people would not have a computer, but there are so many that do have computers, they do not want to sit at home.
don't knock it till you try it
