@biamayz27 There is a Union for makeup artist. Like any professional union the Local and district will depend on the area in which you live. For example in NYC my union Local is 798 District 10. There are certain steps you must take to join the union and there are certain perks to being in the union...one is your professional discounts. If I were you, I'd research it to find out if joining the union is a good option for you and your career.

Are you sure about the Urban Decay one? I emailed them a couple months ago and they told me they don't have a pro discount.

@DoctressHorrible I know, there was talk some years ago of them putting one in place. I thought it would have been up and going by now. I don't buy much (none) urban decay so I'm not sure. When I referenced it some years ago, that was the information I was given.

In the state where i live once you become a licensed cosmetologist you can operate in any area of beauty. Well i'm want to find out were can i get a certificate in makeup artistry? PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE ! tks

@anointed4beauty btw some companies don't even ask for a license they may ask for business cards, comp cards, agent referral, tear sheets, etc. Just reseach the brand u want a discount from & find out exactly what they require to approve ur discount
