my cats do that too. not so much now, but when they were a bit younger. when they were kittens and about 1 or 2. they still do it sometimes. they are both 6 now.
it's cuase they see birds outside and get excited. they start making churtling noises. one of my cats used to sit in the middle of the garden doing that very same noise.

@EyMonster9 Ahm, nope. In other words while your home is the cat's home, the cat takes care of it. The pet tries to protect the home from the birds
