MONKEY ISLANDS PANAMA TOUR x HOSTEL VILLA MICHELLE

Monkey Island tour starts from Gamboa Resort Hotel. Accompanied by the tour guide you'll enjoy our boat ride from Gamboa Marina. We'll navigate the Chagres River passing the historic Gamboa Bridge and onto Gatun Lake, which is the second largest artificial lake in the world with 423 square kilometers. This lake was formed by the construction of the Panama Canal over a hundred years ago. In our journey we'll find ships on transit through the canal and visit some small islands along our way in search of iguanas, crocodiles, eagles, tucans and many other tropical animals and birds. Upon arrival at the main island there will be an interesting sightseeing tour giving us the chance to see other wildlife of the region such as the four different kinds of monkeys which live here.

The Monkey Island Day Tour is boat exploration of Lake Gatun and a great opportunity to see 4 different species of monkey, all within 40 minutes of Panama's capital city. You will also see many other animal species such as Crocks, Toucans, Sloths and many exotic birds. The tour also gives you the chance to bathe in spring fed natural pools and kayak in the lake.
