Whooooo Buddy! ...... Only a few more days and it is off to the mountains for a 6-7 day backpacking trip.
I have had several folk e-mail me and ask for a video on what I take on a trip.
Whether a 2 day or 7 day trip most of the gear is the same.... more or less fuel depending on what stove I choose .... and most of the weight is in food and water.
Since I sleep in a hammock this load pertains to that mostly.
Everyone packs a bit differently..... some super lightweight and some are pack mules! I consider myself lightweight ... not ultra lightweight. My base load on this trip is 16 pounds ... that is everything but consumables ... food, water, fuel. Anything that I use up on the trail.
My extras are a a tea candle lantern, small saw, two cameras for videos on the trail ... I do it for you all )))) Haaaa. OK ...iloveme.com....
All secure in sector seven,
Shug .... thankee for checkin' this video out.....

I think the better question besides what's in the pack is where'd ya get hat? Love it.

@millerca1986 Got it at a shop in Martha's Vineyard. Sewed the sides up myself.

Shug! I love your videos man. My friends and I had a nice little experience in the Linville Gorge one time and I always tell the story to whoever is listening! haha. Anyway, i was just wondering since you live in Minnesota, how did you come to find the Linville Gorge? Anyway, keep up the good work, really appreciate you buddy. Justin-Atlanta

@justin22uga I grew up in Charlotte and Shelby...so romped the Gorge a lot with Dad and Scouts and Hickery and Turk. and we are still drawn to it.

GOTHWHT12 2 months ago
@GOTHWHT12 I often go with a bit of both.
