Remix of the overworld theme of Final Fantasy VI. I think the real name's "Terra" (which makes sense since it means earth) but I like "Wanderer of Time" (there's another song that is a different version of this one called that) much better since it fits this epic Video Game song.

  • What place is Terra overlooking in the pic?

  • @darthaeris: I do not think it's a particular place, to be honest. I think she is overlooking the "empire".

  • Terra (Earth) was found by Locke (Forest) in a cave. The relationship is somewhat fitting, since plantlife is essential for keeping the land from becoming a desert...like where the Figaro Castle is in the middle of. So Locke protects Terra from Edgar (Wealthy Spear) who is a Machinist (a nod to Sir Francis Bacon who is sexual about the Domination of Nature etc)

Seriously, this game is so thick with references to philosophies that I would need 40 pages to write up all the game refers to.

  • @LoneIndividual: Yes, I know, lots of people ignore the little details like that, which in my opinion make the game much more interesting than it already is. Final Fantasy games always had references like these in them, but I think VI is one of the more interesting ones.

  • @VampyricalCurse

My ff preference in priority order.

III (SNES), IV, VIII, I, II, III, then VII and everything else (The one's that I probably won't appreciate until later).

III (SNES) has probably done more to further my philosophy than any other video game aside from CV-IV, which epitomizes the individual fighting against the life sucking elitist, be he/she socialist or croney capitalist, both of which keep people as sheep and act like ravening wolves.

  • @LoneIndividual: You speak the truth. It takes a keen "eye" to see through the thick fog that rapes most people's minds. To some, these are "just video games". ;)

  • @VampyricalCurse Its pretty cool, but in the Japanese version Terra's name was actually "Tina" so the reference wasn't actually in the original game, though a lot of the old ones were changed by translators, I think it was pretty cool how they did some things like that.

  • @VampyricalCurse

Lets not talk about the "eye" as if it's a mysterious secret. The pattern is everywhere and it bears witness of the truth, which is in itself.

    John 1:5

Socrates once said, "Know thine self".

That pretty much sums up Individualism in relation to the rest of existence imo.

  • Nice. You're correct that the real (english) name is "Terra" but it's because it is the character, Terra's, theme song. In the Japanese version of the game her name is Tina, so I imagine on the name of the song on that soundtrack would be "Tina." It's just a coincidence that the name "Terra" means "earth" and is used for the overworld theme song.

  • Thank you very much!
