crazy strong press. its hard to see a side view which include your feet , but it looks like you can move your shoulders slightly forward of the bar before you start the clean. ((e.g. : for me the aim point is the bar is under my arm pits.)). your arms will then be angled back towards your feet about 10 degrees. you will have more power at the clean.
has there ever been a youtube vid of a clean and press that did not garner a million criticisms about form, explosiveness, "your not setting your feet right", "your hips are below your knees", "your rolling your wrists", etc, etc ad nauseum??
All these morons that think it has to be done exactly the way they read about it in 'muscle and fitness'. Take a look at olympic lifters some time, their form varies greatly.
I noticed that you're not setting your hips. Your back is flat, but your hips aren't set with a hard arch in the low back. It's a small distinction, but it makes ALL the difference in hip power. It could be a flexibility issue, or just form issue.
Grip the bar, slight bend in the knees, push your hips back and arch the fuck out of your low back. Turns your spine into granite, so all the power from your PC gets transferred instantly.
If you don't mind me saying: You're such a strong individual that your Clean wasn't performed with enough explosiveness like a Clean should be. Use more pull and hip drive during the Clean. For the press---your press is more of a Push Press than a conventional, strict Press. You will notice that if you use no leg drive during your press, you may not even press 185. Keep up the hard work though. Have you ever tried a kettlebell?
That's a push press/jerk. Every "press" video on youtube is a pushpress..
