In this clip Dr. Bader is shown placing braces on a patients teeth. The position of the braces is checked and the extra glue around the braces is removed. A blue light is used to set the glue so the braces stick to the teeth.

Im getting braces the 2nd. im just wondering. does the metal in the braces effect eating/drinking hot things like ramen and hot coffee?

@Ayda7526 No it does not hurt at all. In fact occasionally our patients are so comfortable and relaxed that they will fall asleep while we are putting on their braces.

I have to get braces . & hopefully i get them the 27th. I have an over bite with gaps. & on the bottom of i had extraction done in September , & my teeth are rotating because i feel it , & i can touch my top teeth to the bottom . My question is , would they need to put a screw in my mouth on the bottom , & spacers on the top ?

@kalia4ever These are very specific questions about your individual treatment. The best person to ask would be your orthodontist. They are the one that has seen you and recommended specific treatment for your case. The most important thing is make sure you are seeing an orthodontic specialist, not just a general dentist. @TheLaurens411 The glue dries better. They're using an ultra-violet light to get the brackets to stay on the teeth. It also makes your teeth buzz. :)
