its not combat weather is SOWT, combat weather is a joke compared to the training that pipline SOWT get. I've been in this pipeline for 22 months. Not done yet.
-
incorrect again, SOWT is its own AFSC 1W0X2.

sorry, i just read earlier posts, looks like they finnaly made combat weather its own shred, meaning u can sign up right from the recruter.

you have to be a 1w first and go to a ows (operational weather squadron) first. just like everyone else. Then, if you are selected by special operations command to go to combat weather school, u go to basic spec ops training. you are then assigned to any air force or army spec ops unit. based on the unit you are assigned to, you can go to halo, dive, ranger, and all of the othermfun schools :-)

for sowt do you already have to be an airforce weatherman to become a special ops weatherman or do you just have to be in the airforce
and does sowt do halo jumps and combat dives caus the airforce special tactics site didnt mention halo school or dive school on their training pipeline
hooyah sowt cct

Hey I leave for BMT january 19th and my job is weather. I plan on applying for Combat weather. Did you get it in your contract to go SOWT right out of basic? I didn't even try for that because everything I read said you have to be a weather tech for 1 year at least before you can apply.
Yet another group of unknown warriors that we in the Air Force have in our ever impressive arsenal.
