Talk on the ubermensch theory part 1

Talk on the Ubermensch (overman) theory by German philosopher Fredrick Nietzche.

I teach you the overman. Man is something that shall be overcome. What have you done to overcome him? All beings so far have created something beyond themselves; and do you want to be the ebb of this great flood, and even go back to the beasts rather than overcome man? What is ape to man? A laughing stock or painful embarrassment. And man shall be that to overman: a laughingstock or painful embarrassment.

My summary of a long talk, Ubermensch is when you are capable of being a better "yourself" and have the courage to express your individuality regardless of society. It is not in being powered with superpowers or superiority invested by others but by having the will to be yourself. If one were human but has that strength, pride and belief in himself, truly is he the ubermensch. To the ubermensch however, being himself as he is, superior and inferior was never in his mind as much as how true is he to himself.

The greatest ubermensch is such because he needs not empowered with superpowers to overcome man's relation and fear of his environment. He is truly at best one with himself, at worst selfish.

To possess the will and strength to be yourself and not compromise any values, that is truly to become a man. As to overman? The attachment to man might just reveal a man too much so a man.
