@tommieparch unh uh, worst mistake ever...Decca Records turning down the Beatles.

"The song "Don't Call Us, We'll Call You" is notable because it contained a practical joke at the expense of CBS Records, which had just turned them down for a recording contract."
And God bless Corbetta for the hope of extending their career, but really when all is said and done, this is the 2nd and last decent tune they did. Probably best that CBS turned 'em down 'cause they would have sucked CBS for all they were worth...

Casey Casem was the highlight of my week back then in those tween years.

This is a real musical nugget!

Fun fact from wiki: "The song "Don't Call Us, We'll Call You" is notable because it contained a practical joke at the expense of CBS Records, which had just turned them down for a recording contract. The song includes the sound of a touch-tone telephone number being dialed near the beginning and ending of the song. Those numbers were an unlisted phone number at CBS Records and a public number at the White House respectively."

@TigerRocket CBS has since changed their number, now it's mine. Bad move, I get nothing but calls from Sugaloaf fans.
