theres still the issue of a small engine like the fortwo's not being able to handle a turbo. If you're interested in turboing a smart, find a local performance tuner to make sure its possible
I say go for it, if you have the funds. a turbo'ed fortwo could be ridiculously fast because of its light chassis. Gas mileage with a turbo really depends on how you drive the car. A turbo kit feeds the engine the purest air possible, so although it can reduce gas mileage dramatically with the boost, you can also get amazing gas mileage with the turbo when you're granny-driving it
@alexrap77 Not true, Littodevil from smartcarofamerica is maxing out the stock motor. He's pulling a lot of boost with his turbo...
Just search YT for the Screamin' Cow...

That's a buzz kill. So if I get a fortwo, should I leave it alone and not put a turbo kit?

aftermarket exhausts are made to be more free-flowing, so the mileage would go down because gas is being expelled at a faster rate.

Pretty neat. Did the gas mileage go up a little after adding the exhaust?
