Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy isdevastating, cruel,and fatal disease. Darius Weems has unselfishly and courageouly given of his time and self to raise awareness and money for research for this disease. Darius is my hero and I think he gives every child and their families more hope for that cure that is needed so desperately for this disease. I know because my Grandson also has DMD. I'd just like to point out the fact that Darius has received over 100 responses while other contestants have hardly had any. This is because Darius truly inspires people. He has awakened our generation of youth and with his efforts he will not only be honoring a horrifying number of children that have died from this disease, but he will be saving thousands that have the disease today and millions that could have it in the future. He is the most selfless person I know and he is my hero. GO DARIUS

Go Darius. You have done more for DMD in the last few years than has been done in the last 50 years by putting a real face on this and a positive one at that. Thank you for all you and the crew are doing. My 9 1/2 year old son has DMD and we appreciate what you are doing. Let's hope the research moves along really fast now with all this awareness. You go dude!!

You have got to be kidding! This kid lost a brother to this disease. My son is 9 and has it also and thanks to Darius and his crew, more attention than ever has been brought to this disease. With Darius' help perhaps my child will be still walking and muscles stronger when he hits his age! go away idiot.
