  • hey, i didn't see any Chargers make a 1-2 finish at Bathurst :P come to think of it i don't recall any Chargers in the top 3 of any Bathurst race

  • @RedtailFox1 isnt valiant american anyway?..

  • @LYNCHIE1011 technically yes, although they had their own Australian design facilities and by the end of Valiant in Australia they were nothing like their US counterparts

  • GT XB AND XC Cars Satan would drive check them out 351 V8s

  • @kingsta212 how can the xc 'suck' when the valiant only had a 6 cylinder with a 4 speed transmition?..

  • my cousin has one.

basically its in parts atm. but one bloke offered him $30000 for the shell

  • Hmm., maybe you should do some research as to why Valiant packed up and left Australia. Ford and Holden decided to play crooked and shafted Valiant at every turn including illegal bribes and more that go all the way to the top. E49 would destroy you Fords anyday

  • Nice looking car.

Same body as the Mercury Montego/Cyclone.

Anyone saying that we didn't have cars like this in the States just haven't been paying attention.

I had a 1970 Mercury Cyclone when I was 16. It had a 429 CI , 4Speed Hurst and the famous crosshair grill.

The Montego was more of a family car that came in 2 door and 4 doors but some of them were well equipped muscle cars too.

The Ford Torino's were also very common in the USA and very similar to this car.

  • The 265ci engine proved to be an embarrassment to both Ford and GM with a 6 cylinder engine producing more than one horse power per cubic inch. The overrated phase 3 GTHO did not even come close to producing one BHP per ci. This engine took a full weight Charger from zero to 100 in just 14.1 seconds with the GTHO coming in at 16.7. Then the pathetic effort from GMH with the big 327 Chev powered Monaro, 21.5 seconds, the Charger could have almost stopped and started again and still beat the monaro

  • @RedtailFox1 aaaah ok, cheers.
