VW panorama bus Auwärter Carlux 1963, Kaufdorf car graveyard

VW Bus Sonderkarosserie von Auwärter auf basis VW T1 bus.
Panorama version of a VW T1 bus modified by Auwaerter Germany. Car was located in the car graveyard Kaufdorf in Switzerland for more than 40 Years. Has been sold in 2009 for arround 5000 $ to a buyer in Germany.
Standort Kaufdorf Autofriedhof nach Bergung. Fahrzeug wurde 2009 verkauft und ist nun irgendwo in Deutschland. Schicksal ist unbestimmt... hoffentlich wird er restauriert.

Der Bus wurde an einen Autohändler in Deutschland verkauft, leider habe ich keine weiteren Angaben über eine eventuelle Restauration. Der Zustand des Fahrgestells ist desolat, alles verrotet. Aber mit einer Spende aus einem alten T1 und viel Arbeit könnte dieses ganz spezielle Fahrzeug wieder zum Leben erweckt werden.

I,ve got me an old Hippystyle volkswagen van from 1974. I would not abuse the car either. I bought it as an ex storage shed of an old lot. Now i already cruz around with the bus for 15 years! It is not even close to perfect, but it's good and road worthy. It's not even special , but i manage to keep it on the road en bring many smiles to the faces of people. I think that's the way to go don't you? i wish they would do it to the car lux to. it deserves it!

@simcaP60fan Yes i'm 100% serious. For the season 2012 the one bus shout be going to the beetle gatherings. I gues the otheron (this one) will take some more time. Bij Yes, as i said, i'm serious. They must at least have a bad case of madcowdesease is think.

@simcaP60fan the other one i know is to be lowered. It's a mostly blue one. I think a car like that should be restored, en not used as a beater. I heared the one from the clip is germany and in posession of a vw spares compagny, awaiting to be made in to a lowered beater to. Such a shame of the 2 cars.
