Helen sang with Artie, Benny, & Harry and never made a bad recording with any of them. The lady had class !

@rewinfrey - Thanks for your comment. Yes, Helen Forrest sang with Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman (which this one is) and Harry James.

Artie Shaw probably is where she was at her best in my view, but I realise not everyone will agree with that. Best to you...

She is without a doubt my most loved vocalist. If I had a time machine, one of the first things I'd is go back to see her. I love her with all my heart, I do.

Do yourselves a favor and get her 2 disks on Jasmine, Simple and Sweet Sweeter as the Years Go By, and also her complete recordings box set with Benny Goodman. These are amazing. Play them through a good tube amp and it's as close to a time machine as you can get.

@rewinfrey - Can't be dead certain, but think it was 1939. She made good music whichever band she sang with and there were a few of them.
