Pseudoscorpions look like scorpions without tails, but are distantly related arachnids. Even with their pincers they barely measure 4mm as the ruler in the video indicates. Microchernes dentatus lives in forest leaf litter and feeds well on springtails and mites in captivity.

  • This particular species was collected in Midwest forest leaflitter. I have fairly easy access to a species out here on the Pacific Coast too, but have yet to establish them in captivity. Pseudoscorpions live in a wide variety of habitat types, including deserts.
