Magee is an excellent interviewer but he isn't too great at finger-enumerating: 1:42 ... Look at that! completely misses his thumb.

@ReduxRex I think it's just a rubber band, but I may be wrong. Uploader, thanks a lot for this master-piece of philosophical interviewing

@flame0430 Thank you very much for posting these videos. I thought you would like to know that parts 2 and 3 of the present episode contain a number of badly garbled moments that make it difficult to follow the discussion without knowing the topic under discussion very well beforehand. Perhaps you could repost? Thanks again for sharing these! They're enormously enjoyable.

A more interesting part of this Wiki article on Ayer is directly below, "Near-death experience".

This was a great interview. I just got through Russell's History of Western Philosophy, and enjoyed it greatly. One thing that surprises me about this interview is that there is actually no mention of Kurt Godel or his incompleteness theorems.
I thought it was splendid too Bryan.

We are both pre-eminent in our field. I suggest that we talk about this like rational men". Ayer and Tyson talked -Wikipedia ROFL.
