  • I thought it was splendid too Bryan.

  • "in the fall of 1987. At a party held by fashion designer Fernando Sanchez, Ayer, then 77, confronted Mike Tyson who was forcing himself upon model Naomi Campbell. When Ayer demanded that Tyson stop, the boxer said: "Do you know who the fuck I am? I'm the heavyweight champion of the world," to which Ayer replied: "And I am the former Wykeham Professor of Logic. We are both pre-eminent in our field. I suggest that we talk about this like rational men". Ayer and Tyson talked -Wikipedia ROFL.

  • The ending supplied me with a large quantity of lulz.

  • @TwinDoubleHelix :D I lol`d <3

  • Magee is an excellent interviewer but he isn't too great at finger-enumerating: 1:42 ... Look at that! completely misses his thumb.

  • @ReduxRex I think it's just a rubber band, but I may be wrong. Uploader, thanks a lot for this master-piece of philosophical interviewing

  • @flame0430 Thank you very much for posting these videos. I thought you would like to know that parts 2 and 3 of the present episode contain a number of badly garbled moments that make it difficult to follow the discussion without knowing the topic under discussion very well beforehand. Perhaps you could repost? Thanks again for sharing these! They're enormously enjoyable.

  • @Ynnel155 Given it was Naomi, I doubt she would've needed help =:))

A more interesting part of this Wiki article on Ayer is directly below, "Near-death experience".

  • is he diddleing.. a rosary, the whole time?

  • @myrealnamehere There is actually a fleeting reference to it in the first interview.

  • This was a great interview. I just got through Russell's History of Western Philosophy, and enjoyed it greatly. One thing that surprises me about this interview is that there is actually no mention of Kurt Godel or his incompleteness theorems.
