Oil Painting- The Duck by Peter Suk-Sin Chan 畫家陳叔善

This is my oil painting that i did early this year, 2007. I love nature and small animal, birds, and fish since i am a small child. This is why all my painting's subject is all about nature and little animals.

In all of my paintings, you will find joy, peace, love, happiness, friendship, and beauty of nature.....

Many people told me they really love this painting because it is so natural, it really give people a feeling of a duck enjoying himself in a peaceful pond happily.

They also thought that this is a musuem piece art or from Royal Ontario Museum.I hope so too, but ! Sorry, it is not true, this is my own painting which is paint by me Peter Suk-Sin Chan. I hope you will enjoy my painting and this little video. It is taken by me too during one of my group painting exhibition

yes...you are right, more than few months, so i only do one or two or three oil painting a year becasue take too much time and bad for my eye too, but i really love it

Hello Iwasteourtime, thank you for watchng my painting video hope you enjoy it. well, i am sure you can if you really love to paint. Oil is kind of difficult, it smell, it take too long time to finish one piece...it kind of make my eye and noise not feeling too great, so i try not to do it too much.....but whenever i do an oil paintng, i just love it and really enjoy the whole time from starting to the finishing point....good luck to you, keep in touch

That is beautiful! I've only started using watercolor and acrylic and I'm already finding it hard. I don't think I can every do something that is close to this.
