Part one of a two-part excerpt on Blaise Pascal, focusing on his sense of religious belief. Taken from the 1984 BBC documentary, "Sea of Faith". If you enjoyed it, you can find out more about the Sea of Faith organization at http://www.sofn.org.uk/pages/dvd.html
There you can learn how to obtain a copy of the entire six episode series.
Interesting. Makes me wonder why so many believers like to use Pascal's wager in an effort to show us the light - the logic of an obviously depressed and pessimistic man. An intelligent man, no doubt, but definitely not someone I want to take lessons of life from.

@LeHuyAnh You are right indeed.I'd prefer this fellow to Schama who is filled with much hubris as well as a grating voice

@Tommy314ful I'd say Simon Schama is much more melodramatic, and a touch arrogant. This guy doesn't seem either, plus his voice is different.
