With Katie out of town, Janet shows up ready to prepare a meal for Brad and Liberty. Liberty doesn't want her mother there, but Brad agrees to have Janet stay. When Brad leaves for ice cream Janet explains to Liberty how she slapped her because she doesn't want her daughter to follow in her footsteps with men. The two make up and later Janet falls asleep on the couch while watching a game with Brad. Brad decides to let Janet stay on the couch.
