BEHOLD: "THE CHRIST" And many more believed because of his own
word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe,
not because of thy saying: for we have heard
him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the
Christ, the Saviour of the world (John 4:41-42). Many people can tell you about Jesus, but until you hear Him, you will never know Him. I know of people who have been listening to sermons for years and still do not know Jesus; they have heard words, but they have not heard The Word. How is this possible? People who "do church" listen for a particular thing, delivered in a particular fashion. When they have heard this thing the way they like it, they are satisfied. These are not seekers of truth, they are itchy eared people. When someone scratches their itchy ears, they are pacified. Do you know Christ? Are you hungry for Him as your Bread and your Water? Don't seek after soul satisfaction; that is a fleshly pursuit. Come to the knowledge of your own depravity and realize that you need a savior, and not a fairy tale character. Don't listen for the preacher, listen for Christ in what the preacher or teacher is saying. Christ will speak to you out of those words.

ASK HIM TO MAKE YOU HUNGRY; THEN ASK HIM TO FEED YOU.
