  • ermm i have a A8V-VM SE with a 8600gt 256mb i want to upgrade to a 9600gt or a 9500gt but those use pci e 2.0 and the mobo i have is said to have problems with 2.0 backwards compatibility can anyone help me?

  • Res: 1920x1200 (24" LCD)

OS: XP x64 Edition (so DX9)

    Card: HD2900 Pro (OC'd )

Detail: Med and Hi as well

DX10 benches are slightly lower if I boot into Vista. Still playable.

  • yes but at what resolution.

    what O/S like in DX9 or DX10

    and what Crysis settings etc.

With my 2600XT I get 35FPS average mix of medium and high @ 1280x1024

    (not this mobo, intel based)

  • I still use this mobo as my main w/ a 4200+ and a ATIHD2900

    Crysis Bench:

    Play Time: 62.91s, Average FPS: 31.79 Min FPS: 17.61 at frame 1943, Max FPS: 46.15 at frame 69 Average Tri/Sec: 29224694, Tri/Frame: 919196 Recorded/Played Tris ratio: 1.00

    lol

  • depends, if you wanted to build a 1080p projector it would cost more of course, but still way cheaper than brand name, and you can take pride in it, cuz you built it :-)

they have a chat room built into that site, that runs like 24/7, you could ask some ppl some questions

  • wow thats crazy how much would you think everything would cost to pull something like that off

  • yeah, check out diyprojectorkits (d.ot) c.o.m

    they can look REALLY good
