Nice new 5520 laptop:
Pros: Backlit keyboard (adjustable), firm tactile keys, awesome matte LG hd screen, decent battery life, customizable
Cons: Screen lid a bit flexible, bottom speaker
Limitations: No blu-ray option or usb 3.0
Not a pro-reviewer but wanted to get some information out there. Hope it helps.
Update 5/3: The lid attracts fingerprints and not easy to clean off. Bezel still seems larger than it needed to be.
5/13: Battery life with wi-fi connected displays 3:20 when first booting. Def go for 9-cell if u need more. My battery DVD test had wi-fi on but not connected.

This is fine, mine is at 52C\54C running office, net and utube.
I read that thermal max is 100C so should be no problem.
Still feels cooler than my old Core 2 laptop.

Thanks for making this video. Im looking for a good but affordable laptop mainly for school (writing essay), doing online reseaches, watching youtube, uploading pictures/ videos, watching movies. Would you suggest this laptop?

@HelenKkay
I would suggest this laptop as a solid all around performer and the FHD screen option makes movies, text and presentations look quite nice. The Latitude line can get pricey with options but even the base models should perform well for your tasks. 15.6 inch is a bit big for portability so you could also consider the E5420. Many other options out there as well. Hope that helps.
