  • Just stumbled upon your video. I'm in the middle of a very similar build as yours. Coincidently even have the same amazon tool and harbor freight torque wrench. Anywho, had a couple questions for you. The barrel is already in the mail for me, but how has the YHM barrel/YHM upper receiver worked out for you so far? I'm also thinking about getting the MAKO stock, how has that been? Nice looking rifle!

  • @bfly48 The YHM 14.5" barrel & flash hider have been great. When combined with the Nikon scope, she easily tapes targets @ 600 yards w/o trying. She's a 1 MOA rifle and that's with low cost .223 ammo. Can't wait to try hand loads.

I like the MAKO butt stock but I'd probably do one of the magpuls. The MAKO I bought came with the check riser, which I took off because the scope sits so low I didn't need it.

  • @bfly48 The YHM diamond hand guard could / should mate better with the YHM upper. The both work and look great but the rails on the upper 12'oclock position don't line up as expected. So if I try to mount a picatinny accessory straddling the mating point, the picatinny rails are off of alignment. Minor irritation but it could be solved with minimal attention to detail by YHM.

  • Where did you get your 45 degree angle for the red dot? And do you like it?

  • @josh11915yo The 45 degree offset adapter in these videos doesn't work well. It's the $25 job off of Amazon.com from a variety of manufactures.

The one I'm waiting on is the JP Enterprises 45 Degree Offset Adapter. It has a much lower rail on it, so the red dot clears the low sitting scope.

  • Very nice setup bro!!

  • Nice! Just wondering what does the third thing say by the selector switch after semi?

  • i like the "clip, magazine" lines. peeves me to hear people call magazines clips. nice rifle!

  • Where are the BUIS? It's not a SHTF/Zombie exterminator without them :). Quick detach scope mounts? Common, man! Nice gun brother.
