Just literally finished sequencing and recording this, so this is the first time I've posted a midi video to youtube right after completion. This took a little while, the percussion was a little bothersome in places but overall I found this easier than I expected it'd be. Composer is Yoko Shimomura (下村陽子), as I'm sure many will know, gotta be one of the most well known female video game musicians. Also I should mention that this is exclusively made for my MU100 sound module.

The time signature really is 13/8. :) FTW!

  • I remember playing this song in my school band one year. As the primary percussionist, (i.e drumming slave) this song gave me nightmares.

  • @goniochromism I tried to download it but my computer only opens windows media player and plays it but I want the file

@CodyRockLee13 Gotta love weird time signatures. I can't really think of any weird time sigs in game soundtracks, besides "stealth" from Stranger's Wrath, but I do know of a song called Karnevil 9 second impression, which is in 17/16, plus perpetuum mobile, which is in 15/8. Ha, I used to think 5/4 was weird. Ah well, at least we aren't talking about polyrhythms... now THAT stuff is weird....

  • This isn't awsome....this is FUCKING AWSOME!!!!!

  • I'm going to play Super Mario RPG right now! :)

  • Wow, this is on par with the original, great remake!

  • Jeebuz, how long does it take to make something like this? Looks really hard to do. Sounds good, by the way.

I love listening to people who understand music talk about musical stuff. :D Completely random, but I wanted to say it. From one musician to another (Assuming you're a musician).
