  • Hi Chris; I would like to build this garden enclosure but with a few additions. Do you think it would be possible to 1) make the center a bit bigger to accommodate a round work table with a bit of storage under it 2) Put a solid roof on the center with 3) a water catchment system for watering the plants. I love what you have done, it is one of the best video series I have seen and I watch a lot of them. 

  • The wood isn't a nitrogen deficiency, it is a nitrogen bank, eventually the nitrogen absorbed from the soil in addition to the nitrogen in the wood itself will be releases so you will have a net nitrogen gain, released slowly over time.

  • Excellent series and fantastic design. Thank you for sharing! Derrick

  • Videos like this is why I go to youtube.. Thank you so much for sharing your idea and not keep it to yourself... GREAT ! From Jonesboro, AR. USA

You are a great inspiration my friend

May the force be with you and ours

    Namaste

  • Cool stuff. Hardly permaculture though. I guess that's the main reason the word is copyright protected and may only be used when certified.

  • seems like you could double this by not letting the last couple go fallow so long. You can have two chicken pens and and two going a month and two going 2 months. Also, if you get current method, why not seed the 3rd month pens that have lots of open space with some fast growing chicken friendly forage plants to enrich their experience

  • I suppose one could also use soaked cardboard for the path

  • Great job!

    Thanks for much for sharing.

    Get those videos coming.

  • Great setup...
