Here I share ONE method of performing the famous Balayage Technique. I use this technique quite often and have had success with this method. There are MANY variations of this, but I feel this works well with my clients.

  • Thank you so much for the great feedback actually this technique can you use for a softer or even bolder look. The way it grows out is much different than doing traditional foils.

  • Hello and thanks for the question! I always suggest sticking in the "Family of Color" which is two shades lighter. Typically with natural, and I mean VIRGIN NO PREVIOUS COLOR hair, you don't have to use lightener. You can use a level 4-5 ash color to control warmth. The lighter you go the more un natural, chance of fading and amount of red that will show. If you were to use a lightener (bleach) I would only keep it on for about 15 minutes then tome it with a demi or a permanent color. Good Luck

  • This technique is meant for the highlights not to look so harsh and marked? More.of a natural look right?

  • if i have natural black hair. what colour do you recommend to get a great gradient. that's more towards the natural looking side. or how long do you suggest that i keep in the bleach, should that be the best option? :) thanks in advance
