  • Snarkus, thank you so goddamn much for documenting the greatest talent of the 21st century. You rock.

  • @livinlovinlife1: my pleasure. i only hope i get to post more jason stuff someday.

  • He's really got a powerful lung.

  • his other one is pretty good, too.

  • i cant get over how bored the guitarist and drummer must be

  • yeah, you'd think so. but in fact, they always seem to be having a good time. there are times when jason is off on a long solo and the guys are just cooling their heels. and there are other times when shawn or buckweed's doing a long solo when jason just hangs out. nobody seems bothered or bored, though. they're musicians; they give each other the space they need.

  • Jason Ricci? I find myself feeling both an abject jealousy- and a practical worship of the man for his abilities. This (and most other videos featuring him on YouTube) is an almost vulgar display of unbelievable musical talent. I've watched it at least a dozen times and I'm STILL in awe.

  • I thought it sucked myself. Maybe he should stick to his day job washing cars.

  • Jason is the best harmonica player in the world- Seeing him live at his best is an indescribable experience...you just stare and stare and are transported into a different dimension-

  • I'm sure everyone changes their mind about harmonica when watches this guy playing.

  • @kenkneeb I believe he's using a standard tuned diatonic- it's just in third position for this song

  • though if he was playing in a room alone he couldn't move anyone could he? love the expressive minor.

  • i think he plays through a harpgear amp. but he could play alone in a room and still move you. almost haunting tone. very very special.

  • Ive been "playin blues harp" for the past 18 yrs...or so i thought. Then i hear the baddest harp player in the world. Jason Ricci. WTF? Paul Butterfield 40 fold. Wow humbling! Dynamics. Tasteful. Props to Stroski and rhythm section.

  • ANYONE KNOWS WHAT HARMONICA IS HE USING? thx
