I 've never liked this anthem. It sounds too russian, negative , too sad, old. It was chosen by the unprofessional people from the streets during that ridiculous "revolution" in 1989, when romanians killed their own president. Now, they have thousands of Ceausescu.
The previous anthem was the best ever, being written by a renown composer Ciprian Porumbescu.

I'm American, and I whole heartedly believe this is one of the best anthems I have ever heard. Primarily the lyrics are inspiring and fuel me with a desire of national pride (even though it is not my countries anthem).

The nicest anthem I ever heard...I tried to play this anthem on piano, if I'll ready I'll upload that to the Tube. It's a pity that my country, Hungary, has a very sad, pessimistic and old anthem, which mostly a lamentation for our history and don't give a way to the future. So I have to write the autonomy of Székelyföld is a most important question what we have to solve commonly, as friends not as enemies.
I hope a better and more peaceful future waits us.
