Well, this is my go through on updating my Wii so you can access almost every single modded app or software through the 4.0 menu.

is there a form to force the wii to read data directly from the sd card? my wii bricked and i dont know if i have the twilight hack on my wii data, and because thats the only way to recover it, and i cant enter the system configuration.

dont worry nothing bad will happen because it is the safe updater u can always downgrade back to what ever u want i downgraded back to 3.2

you updated any problems does it work well? is online play in games ok?
