On Sunday, December 10 at 8 p.m. (ET) on PBS (check local listings,) NATURE takes you to the deepest enclaves of the Amazon for a first-hand look at macaws, with an encore presentation of the The Real Macaw.
In the Amazon rainforest it's surprisingly hard to find a good nest site. The trees may be full of holes but very few are deep enough to protect
chicks from torrential rain, fierce sun, and predators. Watch a pair of macaws vigorously defend their home.

That's what my parrots do with their nesting boxes. It doesn't matter how many boxes I give them, they always want the same one! I think they just love to spar. We have three eggs this year :)

Precisely! They should give them more nesting sites. (conservation is key I would imagine?)
