Georgian soldier seeks asylum in Russia

A Georgian officer has requested political asylum in Moscow. He has told reporters that his country is preparing for a new war with Russia.

Georgia may want to start another war but what are the chances of it actually winning agaisn't Russia? They'll just get crushed again.

for almost a day, Georgia spend their time shelling Tshinvalli (the capital of South Ossetia) while most S. Ossetian soldiers were actually in Java, trying to protect the Roki Tunnel.

Georgia actually had difficulty getting passed the barely guarded Tshinvalli.

they also failed to destroy the Roki Tunnel (their main objective) despite S. Ossetia having no airforce and anti air weapons from the 1960's (Georgia had fighter bombers)

what does this tell you about the Georgian military?

Even then, american soldiers would be no match for an entire russian tank battalion. The only way american soldiers would make a major difference is if they have Abrams and american jetfighters wich I dont see happening.
