Godspell sprang from a graduate student's master's thesis workshop production and ultimately developed into one of the biggest musical theatre successes of all time. Using the Episcopal Hymnal and the Gospel According to St. Matthew as source materials, a musical celebration of the parables of Christ comes to life in song and dance. Featuring such memorable songs as "Day by Day, "All Good Gifts" and "By My Side," the musical score by Stephen Schwartz has become a Broadway legend.

With Godspell we celebrate our return to the historic Southern Theatre in downtown Columbus and once again partner with CAPA to bring our outstanding student work to an even wider audience.
