Pokémon - Giselle vs Hikari

As shown at the end of this video, Hikari/Dawn has some small but noticeable similarities with Giselle. Of course, I'm sure they are just coincidences, nothing more.

The badly edited battle at the beginning was thrown in there just to show that Dawn is learning hax from Ash.

The passing of time doesn't work that way in the Pokémon cartoon. Ash was 10 when the series started and he's still 10 today. Masamitsu Hidaka, the director of the series, has stated that the characters stay the same age so that new generations of children can jump right into watching the show whenever Ash goes to a new region. The creators of the show don't want the characters to age, because they want little kids to be able to relate to the characters.

They directly stated years have passed several times in the anime.
