"TV Sucks Now" Videos Part 1: Introduction

This video talks about a series of videos on youtube that has been annoying me the most. People who make videos that do nothing but complain about how much TV sucks nowadays.

This is the introduction where I talk about this issue and how it gets talked about WAY too often on the internet. And when it is about TV nowadays, it's always often about kids networks and sometimes reality shows. People seem to fail to relise that there's other stuff on TV besides that.

Anyway, this is the introduction about these videos. The other parts are gonna go over each kids network individually and the criticism they recieve from people outside of the target audience. The final part would be the conclusion talking about my opinion about TV nowadays.

Yes, I know people are probably gonna flame me throughout this series and say stuff such as "J00 SUK, TV SUKS NOW" or "LOLZ QUIT DEFENDING TV TODAY, IT WAZ BETER IN TEH 1990S" but I think this needs to be said because it's REALLY annoying.

If these nostalgia buffs dislike what's currently airing on TV nowadays, why can't they just stop watching TV and read a book or something? Nostalgia buffs need to realize that networks aren't going to cancel the shows that are getting them a lot of viewers just because a small percentage doesn't like the shows that they air. If I don't like a show, I just won't watch it anymore; I'm not going to develop a hate obsession over something that I don't care for.

TV doesn't suck now. There are plenty of great shows on these days. It's just that people only look at the kids networks and reality TV.

if you got high speed internet you should get a roku cable box for your tv. roku is a streaming player. its the size of a hockey puck. roku has over 600 channels and roku keeps adding channels everyday. you only pay for roku once after that its free. there some channels you have to pay for if you want but most channels are free. go to roku.com to learn more about this device.

There's plenty of good stuff on tv these days like Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, One Tree Hill, Family Guy, Modern Family, 90210 and alot of other shows, people are just seeing children's shows and reality shows

No offence but this 'TV sucks now' series of yours has done nothing. Nostalgiatards are still complaining about modern TV and not shutting up. It seems to be the only thing they can talk about. They take up 95% of YouTube and are on every old cartoon and music video. I agree with you, but there's nothing we can do.

I am 11 and I respect your opinion but I personally hate those shows about stupid teeny boppers, pop stars and all that. I won't be nostalgic for any of it. Same thing with music, all that pop and rap stuff most kids my age likes doesn't appeal to me at all. I like rock music especially rock from the 60s-90s.

why does everyone care, this is going on to flame war. This flame war has started its own flame wars, like anime and spongebobs new episodes, who gives a crap i like anime and i watch old spongebob, i dont care about video game graphics and i like zelda games. Its my own opinion

Agreed, and there's another way to see the old cartoons, Youtube, just search for example "Johnny bravo" or "cow and chicken" and you find all or some of the episode you want, even in different languages and the thing about "R.I.P. Cartoon network" or "R.I.P. Nickelodeon" is pathetic, pentition to get back the old shows and delete the new shows too.

I totally agree. I fell into that "TV Sucks Now" crowd back in 07-08 but then I realized how stupid it is to get upset about something that isn't about me anymore. It's time for another generation to have their memories.
