Dr. Michael P. Lisanti describes the significance of a new model for cancer.
This new model reverses 85 years of research on cancer metabolism, and will allow cancer researchers to design better diagnostics and targeted therapies.
This new model is called: The Autophagic Tumor Stroma Model of Cancer or The Reverse Warburg Effect. In this model, cancer cell use "oxidative stress" as a weapon to extract recycled nutrients from normal adjacent cells.
It explains how cancer cells eat us alive, resulting in cancer cachexia (severe weight loss) and wasting. Autophagy means "self-eating".

I read somewhere that " Providing cancer cells with NAC, because it will increase glutathione, protects the cancer cells and prevents them from dying. " Do you think that s a true statement ? And in your view does NAC work the same way for all types of cancer cells and what would be the recommended dose ? Thanks

OK another postulation....nº 1765 for cancer. "oxidative stress" ? cancer is anaerobic,
Dr. Michelakis from Alberta is correct, prooving that cancer is a mitchondrial deficency and he prooves it. This " theory" is just another worthless theory to get money for research that goes to nowhere as usual because cancer is a Billon dollar business noy meant to be cured .

I bet this completely new idea is worth the Nobel prize.
