@wagonlove try just pushing the game in far enough so that when you press it down the leading edge scrapes along the socket then wiggle to the left then right is might blink on and off but the game should try to work however if it still dosent work it might be effed or de dirty use q tip and rubbing alcohol to clean connectors
the by pass worked for me to play the game that didnt work before

@Englepest For me, that was a good sign. That usually is what my screen looks before I put a ame in and turn it on.

If cleaning fixes the red light problem is it best not to disable the chip if you are not planning on buying imports?

@Harp00nX Well if cleaning works for you then just do that. Cleaning didnt work for me and although I dont plan to buy imports, this is the only way to fix mine.
