  • Hi Mr Caspersdaddy, I need your magic powers: Im after a canon 514xls, but ive seen 3 of them so far, after loading fresh baterries none of the 3 would respond to the trigger, or w-t buttons. Do you know if its necesary to have a cartige running in order to test these things? thanks a lot for your time! :)

  • @vynilrip No, sadly it sounds like those were all duds. You just put batteries in observing the polarity and then turn the R/RL switch to R and pull the trigger!

  • HOW DID YOU UPLOAD THIS SUPER 8 VIDEO ON TO YOUR COMPUTER!???

please i need to know asap! thanks!

  • @abdul1357 I converted it it to a quicktime file then uploaded it.

  • @zachthezombie All cameras which are ending with "XL" can be used for indoor shots

"XL" stands for "existing light" which means that these cameras are made for difficult exposure

  • Where do you get one of these cameras in mint condition?!?!?!

  • @zachthezombie Hi! The 514xl-s is a very good camera and works with ALL 4 film stocks currently available from Kodak (OK with 500T you have to notch hack the cart - but it works!) It is a great low light camera! I shot a documentary with this camera indoors on Halloween night and it look fantastic!

The only thing that could be an issue is the lack of tryue manual override on the exposures . but the EE lock is useful in some situations.

  • @Caspersdaddy how was it working with the 514 XL-S im thinking of buying one but some people have told me its not verry good for shooting indoors even with the correct film stock others have sed it has trouble with some film stocks

    is this true

by the way film looks amazing

  • @zachthezombie Hi! No, it was shot at 18fps!

  • was this shot at 24fps ?
