He's Dan Fogelberg and he'll sing it anyway he wants to. I like both versions, scrambled and unscrambled.

Oops! Poor Dan! It seems this concert at Jones Beach was not one of his most successful ones! There are one or two others where he fluffed it - eg, see "Leader of the Band " (forgot the words here, too!). Guess it happens to the best of them! Still, it doesn't detract from his professionalism. He still rocks...!!

Oh, geez, I thought it was me hearing things! But I love that he flubbed it! It shows what a consumate performer he was, cause he just kept on singing! Love you, Dan!

Before Charlie Brown joined my band I would sing 25-30 songs a night and believe me it is exhausting sometimes. Also, he had to sing all those impossible songs he wrote when he was younger! You try to give it everything you got every time, but sometimes there's not much left in the tank. Still, every time to hear him alive again is such a nice feeling--like it's all a bad dream, but like my dad last week, "death is there to keep us honest and constanly remind us we are free..."

He completely scrambled those lines and others at the end!. May be he wanted to change up the song?I thought it didn't sound right? It felt like a stumble on the third verse or so. I knew something was off! Way to go Wats!!

@Sandandthefoam But the main real thing is really for sure is that there will forever and ever be another quite like the great John Denver, as JOHN LIVES AND STAYS ALIVE FOREVER AND EVER!!!! Its still never hard to think of John gone, but there will forever be another John Denver-he'll always be my favorite and John will be back again, right here again in real life forever and ever. Death is fiction, and for me, I will only live and stay alive forever and ever, YAHOO! :) :) :)
