  • That is why it is called a "Rack Deadlift" you f**king retards. It's not a full lift, it trains grip at greater than max weight you could use on a full pull, as well as lockout power.

    Gotta love the e-hardasses.

  • first off, a rack dead is not just useful for lockouts on deadlifts but it allows you to use extremely heavy weight to blast your lower back, takes the legs out of the lift. It's a good heavy lift for those that may have knee problems or hamstring issues too. No, not a competitive lift, but not everyone trains for strong man and powerlifting, some people train for size and shape like BBs. Jay cutler does rack deads and I really can't argue with those results. Keep lifting stop overanalyzing.

  • hows som1 so small lifts that big is beyond me

  • What a shit pair of legs. He's obviously scared of squats and feels more confident doing short-range exercises, he is nothing but a pussy!

  • @DOEBOY546 lol, your comment made me check his face a couple of times

  • Alright now work your legs.

  • Excellent work.!!

The Rack deadlift is an outstanding way to train the various weak points in the deadlift, especially the mid-range and lockout portion of the lift. It all can be targeted by selecting different heights for the pin placement..

  • Tiger Woods at 0:38!

  • @cole1991 That's the point, to overload that 'portion' of the lift. Granted rack deads are sometimes done slightly lower than that, 545 lbs is no joke, most would not be able to even hold on to it without straps let alone budge it upward. Great supplement to regular deads.

  • Rack Deadlifts or Partial Deadlifts are good for emphasizing the common sticking points in the Deadlift, the thighs and hips.

They are an excellent assistive exercise for the Deadlift.

  • @RuneMagick67534 you tell em mate :)
