WOW, the last Midland I had was a 4001 for the UK market, 40channel 4 watts output FM mode only. Good in the 80's but suffered terribly from what is known as "bleedover". I used it for hours every day and it was great when mobile. If only we could have the CB days back again!! Now it's all facebook and mobiles.
I'm new to the radio use, whats the average range and what is squelch control? I notice that on the hand held radios they say how much range and how many watts.
I bought this radio online pretty happy with it for about 3 hours. stays on then there is no noise coming out of the ext speaker which is a uniden bearcat 20 watt. the meter needle doesnt move at all .the antenna is connected properly. i purchased it at a truck stop new... any advice would be appreciated... thanks in advance
i got one today for early christmas :D i love it! havent plugged it up yet tho
