@MrPets30 first of all, i did a cover of this before doing this lesson, so i do know how to play it... secondly, i think i cover most of the song, not just the intro riff... if you think the whole thing is the intro riff, then you must be fucking stupid.
i think this video has helped a lot of people, there always has to be some douche who knows fuck all, trying to be the big shot... do it yourself better then, if you can teach the song better, do it 'Mr Pets'

@danturner1234 just ne thing, the second and the third chord of the chorus are minor chords, put the rest is perfect ;)

Tried to learn it off tabs, was SOOO difficult!!! But you made it as easy as playing one note!!!! Thanks dude brilliant tutorial!

Dan you did it proud and was a good job. Fuck the negative comments - like you said if they can do it better why don't they put the money where their mouth is? Nice one.

should have done the tutorial on your electric strat coz it sounds better, just sayin

Simon probably just tunes the whole guitar down a half step from standard. Watch basically any live video and you'll see that he plays quite "regular" chords in the chorus, which obviously would sound like shit if the low string was dropped to C#.
I think there are a couple of other minor mistakes in this video, at least if you want to play the song EXACTLY the same way Simon plays it. Still, considering the fact that Simon writes really complicated guitar parts, I think you made a good job. :)

"I've been playing this song for fucking ages and I still can't get it right!"
Hahahaha!!!
Good tutorial bud, keep up the good work.
i know how to drop c, how do you drop c#?

@fatman989 okay, on your bottom string, play that string whilst holding the first fret. this is the note that the string should be at. tune it to that, then do it for all of the strings.
so basically, tune all of the strings, up one fret. (one semitone)

i meant to say simon is hitting a note on the 5th string, i always get confused bu how guitar strings are counted. cant u see his third finger going up????

@seryn23 .... i know exactly what you mean mate, and thats what i do. his motion may be smoother than mine, thats down to practice, but from what youre saying, youre on about that pull of on the 2nd string, i do that. theres no way it can be played different AND sound the same mate.
