This video is to show how you can convert your external hard drive or usb memory stick from NTFS to FAT32 without losing any of the existing data on the storage device. The video shows a utility you can use but it is only in trialo mode and will only work up to 30GB. You need to purchase the full version, which is not too expensive to get it to work on all sized drives. We at TV Trade have no connection with the company or program shown and would always recommend that you back up your date before you do any such procedure. In tests however, we have found that this program works really well in converting from NTFS to FAT32 and it leaves all your data intact.

  • i have a 127 GB HDD but i want it to be FAT32 (only have 3.2 GB left)

will the limited functionality work without losing anything?

    because i didn't understand :S

  • @wanavacoa it will not work for you in tiral mode with the limited functionality. Trial mode onloy works up to drives that are 30gb in size. You would have to buy the full version for it to work with your hard drive size.

  • Good man yourself, Dave. You're not from Waterford, are you?

Anyway I have a 2TB drive needed converting to FAT32 and I already had 90GB of data stored on it so I'm glad I came across this video!

After backing up all my data and purchasing this product (I had to obviously since it exceeded the free versions conversion capacity) for about €30 in total. I let the program run overnight and the next morning, the drive was in FAT32 mode without a single byte lost! Kudos!

  • @PsycoSyd Laois man, born and bred!!! Glad you found the video handy.

  • @PsycoSyd do u no if a ps3 will recognise the hd now. just askin b4 i dload & "purchase"!!

  • @wappy69 it should do. It needs a drive to be formatted to FAT32 so i don't see why this shouldn't work for you. I don't have a PS3 myself so can't confirm from personal experience but in theory, you should have no probs.
