@ArcanineKing No unfortunately the chicoms are being replaced by the half starving nkoreans. I'm wondering if the editing out of the chinese has something to do with the delay. In any case lots of peeps are upset about this lol. That's kinda like if the russians had been replaced by the czechoslovakians in the original.

Why is everyone worried about this so-called 'remake'?
It's just a similar plot, but in no way similar to Red Dawn.
It's based in modern times, the Chinese are invading, not Russia. It's in Detroit and Pontiac, a different place than the original movie's, and different characters.
Don't fret about Red Dawn being ruined when this is not entirely Red Dawn.

im more than happy to watch a newer version, but my goodness i already know the authenticity of the original one is going to be wrecked. that movie is my all time fav and as a child i remember bugging the older kids to let me watch it at their house cause they had a vcr and we didnt! lol
